Donald Prentiss a native of Middletown, New York, graduated from Wake Forest University and went on to earn his J.D. there in 1981.

Mr. Prentiss was admitted to the N.C. State Bar and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina in 1981, and to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, in 1987.

He’s served as Legislative Counsel to the North Carolina Bar Association, held board positions for Legal Services of N.C., Client Security Fun, as well as the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. He’s a member of Christ Episcopal Church, the Albemarle Economic Development Commission, and serves on the board of the Food Bank of Albemarle.
