05.26.2017 - Tom White receives the Martin Kellogg Distinguished Service Award

Tom White received the Martin Kellogg Distinguished Service Award from the Roanoke Island Historical Association at a reception on Opening Night of "The Lost Colony" on May 26, 2017.   The Martin Kellogg Distinguished Service Award, which is named for Tom's uncle, the late Martin Kellogg, is presented to individuals who have displayed outstanding and distinguished support of the

Roanoke Island Historical Association in any capacity.   "The Lost Colony" is the longest-running historical outdoor symphonic drama in the United States, having been produced by the Roanoke Island Historical Association for 80 years.  Tom's father was the house manager for the production for 21 years, and Tom's involvement with The Lost Colony started when he was very young.   In more recent years, Tom has served on the Board of Directors of the Roanoke Island Historical Association, as well as Producer of "The Lost Colony."  Tom is a retired partner of the law firm.
